This is a unique type of manifold for the Lotus Elan and +2.
Instead of 2 primaries and 2 secondaries and then one final pipe – we have made a race style 4 primaries into one final pipe.
The advantages are higher exhaust velocity, less back pressure, fewer bends and corners giving higher top end power. these 4 into one exhausts are typical of most single seater race cars and the Lotus 47Gt.
The advantages of the 4.2.1 manifold is higher mid range power.
It has been carefully made to fit into the engine bay without modification to the chassis.
Made of highest grade stainless and beautifully tig welded. Can be fitted and removed without releasing the engine.
We can make this to your specifications. This manifold has primary pipes .38mm, and final pipe at 57mm or two and one quarter inch. This is the full race size.
This is not an FIA approved manifold, whilst springs hold the pipes together, exhaust paste is recommended.
Perfect for track, race and hillclimbs where peak power is required.
